The Challenge - 2015 Season Finale

And welcome back to The Challenge! This was the Championship round of The Challenge 2015 with Gridiron Gas. It comes down to a match up between Braxton from Gridiron Gas versus YFPFP. Braxton finished the regular season leading the league by two games in overall record at 11-2. He also led the breakdown standings at 148-47-0. YFPFP finished the regular season ranked #3 in overall standings and #2 in the breakdown. After Braxton lost RB Jonathan Stewart and WR Dez Bryant to injuries this week, it was sure to be an interesting match up. Even with those injuries, Braxton managed to start off the heavy favorite with 8 out of 11 starters projected higher based on the expert consensus rankings. In the three weeks leading up to the championship, Braxton's team averaged 169.62 points per week. YFPFP averaged 118.55 over the three-week period. YFPFP was on a 10-game winning streak, while Braxton had won 10 of the last 11 with the only loss to YFPFP. As always, there was a #BurritoBet on the line for this match.

Per the usual, fantasy football doesn't always work out as planned. QB Ben Roethlisberger was projected the #1 quarterback in week 16, however he finished #30 with only 3.5 points. Follow that up with less than 10 points total from RB Chris Ivory, WR Mike Evans, and TE Benjamin Watson and you have Braxton's team for the week. YFPFP started QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and RB Tim Hightower who together posted nearly 60 fantasy points. Despite never scoring 135 points in a week for the entire 2015 season, YFPFP outperformed his opponents when he needed a victory. Congratulations to YFPFP, winner of The Challenge 2015 with Gridiron Gas. Also, congratulations to runner-up Braxton, who maintained the league's best average scoring margin this season by outperforming opponents by over 28 points per game. There will undoubtedly be a #BurritoBet in the near future...
