Trading Post - Week 1

Player A:
Traded away WR Jarvis Landry

Player B:
Traded away WR Brandon LaFell
Traded away WR Brandon Coleman

Braxton's Take:
Jarvis Landry is a solid point-per-reception wide receiver. Landry finished with only 750 receiving yards in 2014, but also finished in the top 15 for receptions among wide receivers. In a standard non-PPR league, his value is limited. On the other end of the trade, LaFell finished in the top 25 at the position in 2014, but has landed on the reserve/PUP list and will not return to the field until week 8 or later. Coleman caught 4 of his 7 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in the week 1 game against the Cardinals. That was only one target less than Brandin Cooks -the alleged next big receiver for the Saints offense- who did not catch a touchdown in the game. Overall, Player B came up big on this trade, but will have to stash LaFell on the bench for making a late-season playoff run.
