2015 San Francisco 49ers Offseason Update

Fantasy Fuel: QB Colin Kaepernick's fantasy value continues to live on an ornamental border of threads left near the edge of solid fantasy quarterbacks. Now that his receiving corp has been revamped, Kaep may finally achieve the fantasy success once believed possible from the mobile QB. Most notably is that Colin's rushing yards have increased by more than 100 yards each season since entering the league. If this trend continues, he will reach approximately 750 rushing yards next season. WRs Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin will be running routes while RBs Carlos Hyde and Reggie Bush plow through the back field. Smith and Boldin are likely WR3 type players in standard leagues, but if Hyde or Bush gets the ball rolling on their own, they could easily finish as a top 20 back. Tight end Vernon Davis was brutally underutilized in the passing game and resulted in a dismal 36 fantasy points on the year - that is 125 points less than 2013. Davis is definitely a TE sleeper to watch for in the late rounds.
