2015 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offseason Update

Fantasy Fuel: Is crab legs the answer to a 2 win season? Lets hope so as head coach Lovie Smith tries to turn around the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the #1 and #7 overall draft selections from 2014 and 2015. QB Jameis Winston projects as an NFL-ready Heisman quarterback out of Florida State. After being drafted #7 overall in 2014, WR Mike Evans posted 1,051 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 6'4" receiver played well enough for a top 12 fantasy finish. WR Vincent Jackson stands at 6'5" and lines up in the slot. He has only missed one game over the last 9 seasons, except in 2010 when he played 5 games. With six seasons of 100+ receptions and 1,000+ yards, Jackson is a very consistent fantasy receiver. With an upgrade at QB, these receivers can push the boundaries even further. The only problem is whether RB Doug Martin (round 1 selection from 2012) can regain his rookie season status when he rushed 319 times for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. Since then, Martin has struggled to reach 500 yards due to injuries. Doug has been given the nod as the lead running back for the Bucs this season. TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins has received high praise this offseason with reports coming out that he was uncoverable at the offseason OTAs and minicamps. This 6'6" tight end may become Winston's checkdown Charlie throughout the rookie season. With an overall upgrade across the board, the TB Bucs should enjoy a more productive season.
