2015 Carolina Panthers Offseason Update

Fantasy Fuel: Quarterback Cam Newton finished as a top 5 fantasy football quarterback every season of his career until last year. With unexpected injuries and a middle of the season car accident, Cam threw his lowest passing yardage, lowest touchdown total, lowest rushing yards, and tied his lowest rushing touchdowns. Expect Cam Newton to jump back towards the top of the fantasy quarterbacks in 2015. The Panthers moved up in the NFL draft to add WR/TE Devin Funchess. It looks like he will line up at receiver across from Kelvin Benjamin. WR Benjamin exceeded the 1,000 yard threshold in his rookie season and caught 9 receiving touchdowns. TE Greg Olson also exceeded the 1,000 yard threshold and finished as the #4 fantasy tight end with 6 touchdowns. If RB Jonathan Stewart's average draft position does not climb leading up to the draft, he will be a great steal. In his last 7 games, Stewart averaged 96.7 yards per game. Draft with caution as he has not played in all 16 games since 2011.
