2015 Buffalo Bills Offseason Update

Fantasy Fuel: For the first time in 10 years, the Buffalo Bills posted a positive win:loss ratio for the season. With nine wins and seven losses, the Bills were finally getting back on track. Their 2014 1st round draft pick, WR Sammy Watkins, finished with 982 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. EJ Manuel has played 15 games over his first two NFL seasons and was the best quarterback at the Bill's minicamp; beating out Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor for the starting job. More importantly, the Buffalo Bills have a new Sheriff in town with Rex Ryan coming over from the NY Jets. He's already picking up steam with the Buffalo fans after having beers with Jim Kelly at a local bar and parachuting with the United States Army's Golden Knights parachute team. Rex Ryan is a defense-minded coach, which suits the Bills well after finishing 3rd in defensive passing yards per game allowed, 4th in defensive points per game, 4th in defensive yards per game, and 11th in defensive rushing yards per game. Despite not having a first round draft pick this offseason, the Bills picked up CB Ronald Darby in the 2nd round to help the defense. On the offensive side of the ball, the Buffalo Bills replaced RB CJ Spiller with RB LeSean McCoy, TE Scott Chandler for TE Charles Clay, and added WR Percy Harvin to the mix. McCoy finished the 2014 season as the #11 fantasy football running back, partly due to underutilization as well as a struggling offensive line on the Eagles. He still managed 1,319 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns. McCoy's career low of 30 receptions last season should bounce back to his usual 45-55 in 2015. WR Percy Harvin, should move in line behind Sammy Watkins on the depth chart. Harvin has played all 16 games once during his six NFL seasons. With the combination of Matt Cassel and EJ Manuel at quarterback, the Buffalo Bills hope the improvements at running back, wide receiver, and tight end will allow the team to reach back to back winning seasons.
