2015 Philadelphia Eagles Offseason Update

Fantasy Fuel: Since becoming the head coach at the University of Oregon in 2009, Chip Kelly has finished every season with double-digit wins. The first four seasons were at Oregon and the last two have been with the Eagles. With back-to-back 10-6 seasons in the NFL, Kelly tries to reinvent the wheel in the NFL. Gil Brandt, a longtime Dallas Cowboys general manager turned NFL.com analyst, recently tweeted, "Since 1970 8 teams have changed starting QB, leading rusher & receiver one season to the next. Only 2006 Saints finished w/ winning record." Chip has tried exactly this after feeling the 2014 Eagles weren't good enough to compete for the SuperBowl. QB Nick Foles, RB LeSean McCoy, and WR Jeremy Maclin are all gone and have been replaced by QB Sam Bradford, RB DeMarco Murray, and rookie WR Nelson Agholor. Several analysts have first round draft pick WR Nelson Agholor pegged as a Rookie of the Year candidate as Maclin's replacement. In 2014, Maclin finished as the #9 fantasy football wide receiver with 144 catches for 1,329 yards and 10 touchdowns. The injury-riddled quarterback Sam Bradford tore his left ACL in week 7 of the 2013 season and reinjured his ACL during week 3 of the preseason of 2014, forcing the end of both seasons. Coach Kelly claims, "Our research in terms of dealing with guys with two ACLs, there's a 10 to 12 percent chance of reinjury ... so that's an 88 to 90 percent chance they're going to be successful." If QB Sam Bradford can stay healthy, the Eagle's offense could be the best in the league. The combination of RB DeMarco Murray, RB Ryan Matthews, WR Jordan Matthews, WR Nelson Agholor, and TE Zach Ertz should be on every draft board.
