2015 Indianapolis Colts Offseason Update

Fantasy Fuel: Quarterback Andrew Luck's NFL career high in passing yards (4,761) and passing touchdowns (40) wasn't enough to make up for poor rushing capabilities of RB Trent Richardson and RB Ahmad Bradshaw. Richardson's stat line of 159-519-3 got the #3 overall draft pick from 2012 shipped off to his third NFL team, the Oakland Raiders. RB Bradshaw averaged 4.7 yards per carry over ten games until fracturing his fibula in week 11. With an average of 13.26 fantasy points per game over the nine games before breaking his leg, Bradshaw was putting up top ten fantasy RB numbers as the passing down back. Currently, Bradshaw is on the free agent market with an unlikely return to the Colts as the team has signed RB Frank Gore and drafted rookie RB Josh Robinson. Over the ten seasons Frank Gore played on the 49ers, he rushed over 1,000 yards eight times - falling short of 1,00 rushing yards in his rookie season and in 2010 when he played eleven games due to a fractured right hip. Be prepared for Gore to push the ball forward in his 11th NFL season. Andrew Luck's go-to receiver, TY Hilton ( 77-1,144-6), finished last season as a top 10 fantasy football wide receiver. With the addition of WR Andre Johnson from the Houston Texans and first round draft pick WR Phillip Dorsett as well as 2014 third round draft pick WR Donte Moncrief, Luck will have plenty of options to hit 5,000 passing yards in 2015. Because the Colts like to run two tight end sets, Moncrief and Dorsett may be unreliable fantasy options, but the talent is available if an injury occurs on the wide receiver depth chart. Tight ends Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen finished the 2014 season as the #6 and #14 fantasy tight ends. Kicker Adam Vinatieri made all 50 extra point attempts and only missed 1/31 field goals. He should finish as a top fantasy kicker as he did in 2014. The Indianapolis Colts had the best passing offense in the NFL, but a middle of the road defense. With five defensive draft picks and a few free agent pickups, the Colt's defense should improve on last year.
