2015 New York Jets Offseason Update

Fantasy Fuel: The New York Jets 2014 season was a mess to say the least. GM Mike Idzik and HC Rex Ryan were shipped out to no surprise after three consecutive seasons with a negative point differential (points scored - points allowed). The new head coach, Todd Bowles, was the defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals and should bring a defense-first mindset to the team. New GM Maccagnan was the director of college scouting for the Houston Texans since 2011. The dismal 4-12 season was plagued by players favored in the Rex Ryan regime, such as Michael Vick, Chris Johnson, and Percy Harvin. On offense, the Jets really needed to add playmakers to improve on their 28th ranked points per game and 32nd ranked passing yards per game, but they didn't add much to work with. The former Ivy League MVP quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick joins his 6th NFL team along with WR Brandon Marshall, RB Steven Ridley, RB Zac Stacy who are now part of the Jets. The  defense should improve on the 2014 season with the addition of  CB Antonio Cromartie and CB Darrelle Revis as well as the player many believe was the top defensive player in the 2014 NFL draft, DE Leonard Williams.
