Trading Post - Week 14

Team A:
Traded away RB Jamaal Charles (IR)

Team B:
Traded away RB Charcandrick West
Traded away WR Danny Amendola

Braxton's Take:
For most fantasy football leagues, the trade deadline has passed and no one is able to trade this season. But lately, we have been getting questions about trades in keeper leagues. This trade was one of those questions. Team A is in the hunt for playoffs and has RB Jamaal Charles (injured and finished for the year) taking up a roster spot on the bench. Team B is out of the playoffs and sent this trade offer to get Charles as a keeper for next season. Now obviously Charles can't help Team A at all this season, so if he can benefit from adding West and Amendola to his roster during the fantasy playoff, this trade is definitely a win for both teams. Amendola and West have limited value next season, so the trade for those players only factors into this season. The loss of Jamaal Charles as your keeper for next season is a hefty price to pay, but if West and Amendola provide you with the power needed to win your league, it's all worth it.
