Traded away QB Andrew Luck (#32)
Traded away WR Willie Snead (#27)
Traded away 2016 draft pick #30 overall
As week 6 of the NFL season approaches, fantasy team owners are nearing the midway point of the fantasy season. Several studs have been picked up on waivers (e.g. Devonta Freeman and Gary Barnidge) and several duds have under performed (e.g. Andrew Luck and Marshawn Lynch). About this time every year, owners begin to get anxious with desperation to make the fantasy playoffs. In this trade, Team A traded away QB Andrew Luck who is currently ranked #30 among fantasy points for quarterbacks; below Nick Foles, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Kirk Cousins, and Brian Hoyer who has started just one game in 2015. On the contrary, WR Willie Snead was formerly and undrafted free agent signed by the Cleveland Browns in 2014, but didn't make it through the preseason cuts. After tryouts with the NY Giants, Snead landed on the Carolina Panthers' practice squad for a few months. With the departure of TE Jimmy Graham and the lack of production from WR Brandin Cooks, Snead has amassed the most yards by receivers on the New Orleans Saints. Overall, Andrew Luck was a stud last season and I don't see that changing. Even though he has not performed up to expectations thus far this season, I expect Luck to finish as a top 10 QB rest of season. As for the #30 overall draft pick in 2016, no one knows which players will be available and it provides no benefit to your fantasy team this season. This trade is a win for Team B.
